For Ruddys first blog he would like to share a peice of his favourite street art with you, The peice in question is a stencil/wheat-pasting by english artist Banksy. The design is original and stands out to me so much because it makes a statement it is located on the security wall separating the gaza strip from israel and the rest of the world. the use of the two children to show the innocence of just wanting there own paradise shown by the hole in the wall which portrays a beach with palm trees. it is a huge splash of colour on a wall that really shouldn't be there just showing that they want there own place. all in all it is a great painting and design.

  1. Wow I love that, really awesome, love the contrast between the bleakness of the wall and fence and the hole in the wall.

  3. Good pick Ruddy, I think part of Banksy's appeal is that he's not just graffing tags on railways, all of his works are a huge statement on current social & political climates and always executed awesomely.

  4. WOW. this is an amazing political statement. Break down the wall and escape into paradise. Maybe? The longing to escape and the imagery of the children playing as if on the beech with their shovel and bucket.
the contrast of black/grey/white against the hole of colour.

Welcome to blogging Ruddy catch u next time
